The Redbirds Are Online

The Louisiana Redbirds have a website.
That sounds like a small thing. It is not. Until now, everything this program does has lived somewhere else — a Facebook post that scrolls away, a group text, a flyer photographed on somebody's phone. A parent trying to find out when tryouts were had to know who to ask.
Not any more. Here is what is on it.
Tryouts, signed up for in a minute
Every age group from 7U through 13U, one form, from a phone. You pick the age group, tell us about the player, and we get back to you. No paper, no cash at the gate, no chasing a coach for a date.
Tournaments that update themselves
Our tournaments now run on this site. Teams enter online, and once the games start the standings and brackets update as scores go in — so a parent in the car park can see who they play next without finding somebody with a clipboard.
Coaches get told the moment their bracket is posted, with their round, their time, their field and their opponent. No more standing around on a Sunday morning wondering.
Apparel, ordered properly
The Redbirds store is open, with the OG bird on the front of it. You order, you get a confirmation, you get told when it is ready for pickup. Every order is tracked from the moment it is placed.
The BirdGang Bulletin
News from the Nest, sent by email when there is something worth saying and not on a schedule. Organizational news, tryout dates, team results, and the players worth telling people about.
Sign up for the Bulletin — it takes about ten seconds, and you can pick which teams you want to hear about.
Inside the Nest
This page. What is happening across the program, written by us, kept here where it does not scroll away in a feed.
Why bother
Because a program is more than a set of teams that happen to wear the same colors.
We started the Redbirds to build something that lasts longer than one good season — where a player develops, a team competes, and a family finds somewhere to belong. A website is not that. But it is the front door to it, and until now we did not have one.
Develop the player. Build the team. Compete with the best. Leave a legacy.
The site is live and it is going to keep growing. Tell somebody.
BIRDGANG.
