In their first tournament since their 2nd World Series Championship, the Louisiana Redbirds won the 12U AAA 2D Fall Opener featuring teams from Mississippi, Baton Rouge, Westbank, etc.
The Redbirds were the first to arrive and last to leave the ballpark on Sunday. After going 1-1 in pool play, they earned hard fought wins over the Metry Mets, Bandits, and Spice in bracket play bringing their record to 4-1.
Congratulations to Adrian Padilla on being named the tournament MVP. All of his teammates (who had major contributions themselves) erupted upon hearing the announcement.
The Redbirds likely return to play at their fundraiser on October 3 & 4.
